Micro USB

[link to this post]
The MicroUSB charger is supposed to end the need for lots of different chargers for every phone, smartphone, blue tooth headset &c.

We use a several different phones, Nokia, Samsung, Motorola along with other devices including cordless mice. Each of them comes with a charger and a warning - "Use of a non-approved charger with this device will invalidate your warranty" but from the same manufacturers, additional chargers such as an in-car device have a statement "Universally compatible with devices supporting micro-USB charging connector"

A slight contradiction in terms ... and if the Nokia Universal charger damages a Samsung phone - where does responsibility lie?
