Galaxy Tab 2 7"

Anybody got one? Mine has just been updated over wi-fi to Android v. 4.0.4 XXBLH1 ICS but apart from a slight change to the boot up sequence I cannot see any difference or improvement.

Am I missing something? wink

Which version did you have before? 4.04 arrived on my SII recently, and was no different to the ICS it had on. T

I think it was just v. 4, plain old Ice Cream Sandwich!

Mine seemed a lot more responsive to touch after the update - far less lag. Other than that it seems identical.

No change to screen touch response with mine, unfortunately!!!

Could also do with the "move to SD card" function reinstated too...

Reactivating this thread, I have a question about my Galaxy P3110!

Can someone please tell me, in very simple terms, how to install Gingerbread v2.3.3 on this tablet. I have it on my old P1000 and on my Galaxy Ace phone and I like it! It does what I want, is easy to manipulate and has that wondrous facility to move apps to the external SD card smile

I do not like ICS. It takes ages to install new apps unless I keep deleting the updates and cache in the Play Store app.
I cannot find a way of adding notification sounds for incoming email etc. The default setting is 'silent'.
Many apps do not work.
It keeps running out of memory because I cant move apps to.......**** So I have to delete something.
I have rooted it and cleared out a lot of junk but no better.

Of course, I have Googled 'till I am blue in the face to find the answer but it's not there, not in a language I understand anyway!

I know Gingerbread is an old OS (designed for phones) but then so am I wink

EDIT: I might add that I am familiar with the techniques for upgrading Android phones and tablets using Odin and other such means but never tried to downgrade an OS

Andrew
