Orange Signal Boost ?

[link to this post]

Hi,

I've got a thread in the Broadband section and it's been suggested I ask in here now as the problem appears not to be with my broadband, but with my phone.

The thread is here:- http://forums.thinkbroadband.com/general/t/4189844-i...

...and basically, it looks like the Orange Signal Boost app isn't handling my outgoing voice very well. It could possibly be a codec issue.

Does anyone know if it's possible to use different codecs on Android, or make any gain adjustments etc ?

Many thanks !

Don't you have Orange Signal Boost app on the Blackberry you tested with and it was OK? So that points to the HTC not the app.

Otherwise, how can the Blackberry be a comparable test?

1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up => 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB => 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB => 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU => 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU => 2011: Orange 19 Meg WBC

Er... yes. Sorry, I should have made that clear. The Blackberry has the built-in option for UMA, and the HTC has an Orange app to provide the same functionality. So both were connecting via UMA / GAN, and it was perfect on the Berry, and poor on the HTC.
