Dynamic Ip numbers?

[link to this post]
Hi All,
I'm looking to see if any mobile BB networks provide fast changing dynamic ip addresses. In other words, I would like to be able to log off and when next I connect again, my address has changed, even if it's only a minute or 2 later. Anyone know if this happens on any of the networks ?
Cheers

They all seem to use a layer of NAT, i.e. you'll get an IP address in the 10.x.x.x range and you'll always be seen to the outside world by the same IP address shared by everyone on the same network.

Seems to be.. It has been suggested before that getting a VPS and setting up your own VPN - would work..

3 payg always seem to give me a public IP address? in the 91.x range usually, and it does change every time I reconnect.

Strange, mine didn't and others on here have reported the same.

Can't test now as I don't have it any more.

Same with Orange (although not the same range!)

That said, there could be hundreds of users behind the same IP

Orange seem to give me a none NAT IP with all ports open. I get a new one pretty much every time i connect.

How are you looking up your IP?

I will double check but ISTR that with Orange I get a public IP through a web based "what is my IP" tool (for example) and a private IP through ipconfig.

I also appear to get a pretty much different public IP every time I connect.

It seems to depend on the APN used.

I get a NAT'ed internal IP with a shared public IP with some APNs and a direct WAN IP with other APNs.

I connected my dongle to my router, and confirmed with someone at another connection they could access my web server with my dynamic DNS address going via Orange mobile broadband - Worked fine!

I use http://www.whatsmyip.org/ to find my IP.
