Vodaphone 3G

[link to this post]

3G signal dropped from the cell TX on Wednesday (23rd), and GPRS was too far down in strength to be workable. I drove out to another cell to make sure it wasn't a problem with either the modem or computer, and reported it to Vodafone.

No one at Vodafone appears to have taken any notice of my posting, as it hasn't been acknowledged, checked or added to their growing faults list. There appear to be a considerable number of users throughout the country who have lost connection to the Vodafone network, with some faults reported as "no timescale on resolution".

With no other workable 3G service out here 'in the sticks', going to another provider is not an option. I assume that the likes of Ofcom won't be interested in this loss of service. Is there anyone else to whom we can complain?

Despite getting a response from a moderator, nothing appears to have been done about the fault. It never appeared on the Network Faults Board as promised. The cell is STILL not operational as of 23:00 on 9th April...

What an appauling so called service...

Over a month after telling Vodafone their 3G cell wasn't working, I find that it is STILL out of action. It's taken them nearly four weeks just to verify my findings and post a message on the Faults board. We now have the usual "There is currently no timescale on resolution" which is useless and unhelpful, and is a bit like saying "We don't know what the problem is and we're not sure how to fix it".
