I'm currently in Thailand and its difficult to find advice , so i'm hoping some one here can help me solve a problem, I have with my 3G set up.
I have bought a Vodafone K4505 USB modem and I am using it on my Apple iMac , along with the Vodafone Mobile Broadband manager ( Version 4.01.08.00 ) , I have all so purchased a 3G unlimited package from a local 3G company .
I can connect to the internet with out a problem and the signal strength is good ( 4 out of 5 signal bars ) , now to the puzzling part , for some strange reason the internet connection is automatically disconnected after 2Hours and 59 Minuets . I then have to close down the Vodafone Mobile Broadband manager , and re start it , then re connect to the internet , and the connection is back to normal and works well, then at exactly 2Hours and 59 Minuets the internet connection is again disconnected . This automatic disconnection is happening all the time , at the same time period of 2Hours and 59 Minuets .
I have all so tried my Vodafone K4505 USB modem and same 3g internet package on a Windows laptop , but this time using the ZTE connections manager that comes pre installed on the K4505 modem , and again the internet connection is automatically disconnected at 2Hours and 59 Minuets .
I'm really not sure what's going on, my 3G package is Unlimited and ive checked all the settings in both the Vodafone Mobile Broadband manager and the ZTE connections manager , and cannot find any settings that would automatically disconnect the modem after a certain time period.
Ive got a good 3G internet connection up to 2Hours and 59 Minuets then I have to start all over again .
Any advice would be most welcome - Thanks
