Mobile Broadban upload speed

I am currently in France using an Orange Mobile dongle, purchased in France.

I have done a number of speedtests from various locations from South to North and the results have given a consistent showing of an upload speed better than the download speed.

I did not notice this with my previous (UK purchased) Three dongle.

Is this normal? (for France? or Orange?)

Today's is
1293.09 Kbps ( 1.3 Mbps ) down
2278.82 Kbps ( 2.2 Mbps ) up

Probably just down to contention as there are probably lots of other users downloading as well, yet not many uploading.

Mobile broadband has a limited amount of bandwidth available per mast / per sector so it doesn't take many people to use the service before you notice a slow down.

Another question is :-
Will this Huawei E352 dongle (purchased in France) work in the UK, with a UK purchased SIM card?
And same question for Denmark?

Is it unlocked?
If it so it will work on these frequencies.
HSPA+/UMTS - 850/AWS/1900/2100MHz
GSM/GPRS/EDGE- 850/900/1800/1900MHz

The roaming network in the UK and Denmark needs to operate on one of those listed above.
The UK ones do operate '3G' on 2100Mhz. Denmark no idea.
