I detect a spammer!

Only replied in two very old threads (within a minute of each other) - each time plugging software by the same maker.

Indeed - I reported it and I am sure the powers that be will be along to delete...

I initially looked for a 'Report post' button but couldn't see one. Where/how do you report a post on here?

Thanks, but I'm not seeing that option on any forum posts. I only see the Re: poster name and 'Link to this post' options.

Anything to do with being 'Newbie' status and Newbies not being allowed to report posts?

It isn't available to all users - there is some sort of algorithm that decides on it.

But, you can also report posts in talk to the staff, via PM to MrSaffron or via team@thinkbroadband.com. For spam most people would use the talk to the staff forum.

Thought so. RobertoS's reply seems to confirm that it's not available to Newbie status accounts.

Hadn't really noticed the 'Talk to Staff' forum!, will use that in future, or a PM to Andrew. I wasn't sure about the latter as I know on some forums the Admin have enough PMs to deal with without ones about spam!

When you haven't got the Report button I think TTTS is best. Using it means that others like yourself see it has already been reported, which helps.

It also allows those others to point out more spam posts by the same person, or even by other spammers.
