Vodafone 4G

Is there a way of testing Vodafones 4G coverage in certain areas?

As far as I am aware Vodafone are not supplying 4G pay and go SIM cards yet? Apparently I am in a coverage area but I want to check it before I take out a contract with them.

Short of using the coverage checker online no.

If they sell you a 4g plan you will have 7 days to cancel should you find the service isn't as expected.

I know Vodafone are overly optimistic on their coverage checker. I've tried O2 and I can get 2 bars outside on the car park but inside it drops to 3G.

EE are the best 3 bars indoors but they seem pricey.

Surely Vodafones 4G coverage should be very similar to O2 as they are rolling out together aren't they?

I heard they had split the country in half, one half being run by one companies network engineers, the other half by the other company - so you might get O2 4G in an area which Voda won't hit for another 6 months, but when the second lot turn up there will be a lot less work to do.
