Three sim card in laptop?

[link to this post]

Hello Everyone.

This is my first post.

Would like to ask question, is it possible to use phone (mobile contract) sim card in my laptop?
Is there anyway to connect it, as it gives me: limited connection.
So it recognises it. but does not want to connect to internet.

Any ideas or solutions?

Thank you

Have you set up the APN information in the dialer correctly?

Even if you resolve this 3 will detect and block the sim, it's against their terms to use a mobile sim in a dongle. They can tell by cross matching the IMEi of the unit which is sent by the sim every time it's turned on.

People don't realise how smart mobile networks are. As well as "is the sim provisioned" "Is the sim authorised" "does the handset IMEI and sim ICCID a match" there are still dozens of other tests and checks done in the few seconds between you hitting the green dial button and you hearing the ringing tone.
