CGNAT workaround

[link to this post]

I'm on EE and rather than address implementing IPv6 due to IP address shortage they have chosen the short term CGNAT.

Due to this a DDNS service does not work.

I have had success with the reverse proxy service from ngrok.com (free account) using a Raspberry Pi on the LAN. I have also configured a free TeamViewer Host (static password) on the RPi.

Has anyone else come up with an alternative CGNAT solution?
I have also toyed with the idea of running an OpenVPN client tunnel to a non CGNAT service running OpenVPN host for access.

Ideally I would like to remove the need for a RPi etc.

Doesn't help your question, but I think IPv6 is "coming soon" (time unknown):
https://community.ee.co.uk/t5/4G-and-mobile-data/IPv...

The CGNAT on IPv4 has been in place YEARS and if you want a real external IP you will have to call EE and get a business data account I believe.

I have got round the issue by setting up a VPN from the remote location on the router to home router and then forward the traffic from my Static IP at home via the VPN to the remote location, seems to work ok.
