Uptime stats on TP-Link TD-W8950ND router

[link to this post]

Iíve just set up a new TP-Link TD-W8950ND router as a means of troubleshooting sync drops. My problem is I canít find anywhere on the router interface that reports whether the router is holding the line or disconnecting from the exchange. This is all I can locate:
Statistics -- ADSL
Mode: G.DMT
Type: Interleave
Line Coding: Trellis On
Status: No Defect
Link Power State: L0

Downstream Upstream
SNR Margin (dB): 14.3 10.0

R (number of check bytes in RS code word): 20 16
S (RS code word size in DMT frame): 1 4
D (interleaver depth): 32 4

RS Correctable Errors: 657 0

Total ES: 3 0
Total SES: 2 0
Total UAS: 54 0 (UAS - Unavailable Seconds/ seconds without sync?)

The router log is unlike any Iíve come across. This error message appears regularly:

Mar 15 12:27:08 daemon err user: TR69C: Unable to determine External IP Connection Parameter Name

Furthermore, I canít telnet the router!
ThanksÖ.
