Xbox refuses to connect to new wireless network

[link to this post]

Hi

I've just installed a nice Homeplug system to improve network coverage (Devolo N 200 Wireless kit).

The 360 just refuses to connect after I enter the WPA2 key frown

The Wii & PS3 connect fine, but the Xbox refuses to play ball.

What could be causing this ?

The Devolo settings allow any device to connect.

thanks

Try reducing the N kit back down to G standard.

Not all N devices play ball nicely.

Personally gave up on wireless due to gaming latency variations and installed ethernet.

Well that will be easy now as the Develo wireless plug (with 3 ethernet sockets) is in socket next to Xbox plug !

I use Netgear Homeplugs on N Kit and have no issues with either consoles, have 1 upstairs plugged into the netgear dg834n router and 1 by the tv downstairs.

Try setting it up again and choosing the wired connection and then run the test,I'm sure its just a teething problem.

Your Xbox is connected wired or wireless ?

Mine connects fine to the old "1 bar" weak O2 box wireless network - but refuses to connect to the 100% signal from the Develo Wireless box 6 inches away !!
