Advice on Home Network

[link to this post]
Hey all,

Shortly getting a 3rd floor added to the house and I have been looking at the existing network setup and was hoping I could simplify it. Drawing of set up is here as it is simpler than trying to explain it!

Would like to remove the homeplugs completely and simplify the layout. The modem is currently in the lounge as is the SamKnows white box, the ASUS RT-N66U and the TP-Link switch. The GS108 is in the loft and GS605 is in the under house storage along with a Sky box, a powerplug and the 42TB media server.

The kitchen has the AV200 wireless N extender as there is a dead spot in the kitchen. The rest of the house is serviced from the ASUS router.

Happy to extend cabling if required.

I was looking at ditching the ASUS and going with a ERL and two UniFi APs.

Any thoughts on simplifying the layout?
