Back on topic. I've got another question to ask.

Where it says - 'The customer is then asked to settle their account. We assume a 30 day notice period and calculate monies due' on Newnet's website, if your monthly broadband renewal falls within that 30 notice period do they still take the funds?

They calculate 30 days from the MAC issue, as you are on 30 days notice. So if you are 28 days into a payment month you pay another 28, if you are 3 days into a payment month you pay another 3. They take this, and the regular payment is not taken.
