Plusnet RIN user receives "As a BT Total Broadband customer, you can try an exciting new service called BT Webwise."
This in spite of Plusnet saying that their users would not be affected.

I hope it's not true, yet.I'll be off if it is.
If nothing else works, a total pig-headed unwillingness to look facts in the face will see us through.

That it has happened is true.
Whether it was supposed to happen is another matter.
I suspect BT has been assuring Plusnet it's RIN users would not be affected without (a) checking the facts, or (b) knowing they would be affected and hoping they'd get away with it. Knowing BT I know which I suspect.
With a bit of luck this will lead to the trial being suspended until they sort out this technical 'glitch'.

NOTE: It appears to only affect RIN i.e. a small minority involved in the RIN trial

In reply to:

Just because the police think it's going to take too much effort to investigate doesn't mean it's legal!
Are you saying all the minor theft's that the police don't investigate because of lack of evidence or poor chance of securing a conviction are also legal?

Perhaps if going to discuss the merits of webwise/phorm etc it would be better to move discussion to the appropriate forum section.
