I'm approx 6.8km from exchange line speed 0.25mps even with speed enhancer. Basically paint drys quicker, no one prepared do help improve. Even asked BT if they would consider changing to a marginally closer exchange BT refused! Dialing code different....

If the line attenuation is 63dB or higher then sounds about right speed wise. If modem reports a lower attenuation then maybe something people can help you with.

Alas no obligation on BT to provider broadband - thus they can do what they have done. Looked at Satellite broadband, your wireless 3G options etc?

Have a look through my old posts, lots of advice there (that doesn't need retyping really).
