Finchampstead/Eversley Part 2

Meeting place for all the regulars from the previous closed post.

No updates for Cab 11 for a few days, maybe all the NGA work is completed..... anyone got any updates?

Mmn, looks like it's all gone a bit quiet. Only thing i can maybe think of is that they're waiting for the people on other cabinets to be installed before enabling the next one?

I was told by an OR Engineer that it takes approx 4-6 weeks once all ends (cab & exchange) are connected to go through testing, commissioning etc. This would put it around mid-August for live & then BT Retail (or other ISP's) need it sorted on their ordering systems.

The early bird might get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.

Am waiting to hear back from Peter R Cowen (BT Partnership Director South East) re: Cab3 progress. Will update as and when.

cab 3 DSLAM is not stood up only Copper PC:3 ottd was rejected as supposeldly private land -- advised by comminity

what does this mean, connected to cab 3 and keen to know when this will come into service. Also waiting for P Cowen to respond re upgrade

Sorry newbie, what does the post mean? I am connected to cab 3 and desparate for anything resembling improved speeds - current 0.33 and below frown

I *think* the anon means no sign of an FTTC DSLAM cabinet for cab3 as yet, and that ear marked site was unacceptable as was private land.....


.. but I could be wrong.

Far too many anons in the Finch thread, register, it's free, you won't get spammed, and it makes the whole shebang a lot clearer to see who is saying what, to whom.
