A link TO this thread from the last one would have been much more useful!

Anyone know the status of Cab7?

Hi Blaz

My speeds are still down after the line fault 2 weeks ago, there is some digging taking place on McCarthy Way which could be at the underground junction box, where the fault was first found. The IP config for my line is down at 50Mbits with the line speed being the same, so without the IP going back up to 65Mbits the download speed is constrained. I have an engineer booked to visit on Thursday, so will know more then. BT India have been very good, no silly questions and calling back every few days to monitor progress.

It would be interesting to know the number of slots taken on Cab11.

Hi Cab11 & Blaz,

Up here on Jerrymoor my 40/10 which was running at 36/9 from day 1 back in December has lost 10Mbits as well, currently 25/8.
Only noticed today as I don't do video streaming.
So looks to be a general fault.

thanks for responding Cab_11. hope your OR visit goes well.

yes - it does seem to be a general issue as my neighbour has had a similar sudden drop so it would be interesting to know if the OR engineer can throw any light on the subject??

@Norro. re link from old thread. yup you are right but when an old thread is closed by the administrator/ moderator, no further posts can be made by a poster in that thread - hence the refer back.

I think my slightly slower speeds in Jerrymoor were just a blib, perhaps at a busy time (yes FTTC may be affected by number of users).
Speeds over the last few days as follows:-
Date Day Downstream Upstream
31/01/13 01:19 Thu 35207 Kbps 9128 Kbps
30/01/13 11:31 Wed 32214 Kbps 8995 Kbps
29/01/13 10:59 Tue 34319 Kbps 9116 Kbps
28/01/13 22:40 Mon 34072 Kbps 9125 Kbps
28/01/13 17:13 Mon 26111 Kbps 9125 Kbps
21/01/13 23:39 Mon 35506 Kbps 9128 Kbps
17/01/13 11:16 Thu 36430 Kbps 9110 Kbps

The lowest figure being 28/01 at 17.13 - homework time.
