Henbury, Cheshire SK11 9NW

We're moving to Henbury, Cheshire SK11 9NW and the Broadband Maps tool on here shows speeds of under 2Mb from the Point Topic data.

Does anyone have any experience of standard broadband (i.e. ADSL over copper) in this village? It's only about 2 miles out of Macclesfield so I'm surprised it's showing so low. Wondering if I'll have to go Fibre (which is available) to get decent speeds.

Thanks

if fibre is available at £15 per month I wouldn't be thinking about it for more than a second.

MaxDSL - goes as fast as it can and doesn't read the line checker first.

No experience of that place.

But if you use the BT Wholesale Address Checker, and put just the postcode in, it'll give you a list of all addresses in that postcode. Selecting those one at a time will tell you the speeds for the neighbourhood, both ADSL and FTTC.

Don't use the postcode checker though, because it doesn't include the fibre speeds.

Edit: Agree with yarwell, even if it is for speeds around 20Mbps.
