Deploying ADSL2+ from cabinets today would be utterly pointless.

Because services deployed from cabinets (e.g. FTTC) have their frequencies notched so as not to interfere with exchange based ADSL2+. So, deployed from the cab, with the notch, ADSL2+ would do no better than deployed from the exchange without the notch.

If we throw the LLU idea out the bin perhaps.

Well then they would need to put in on the same frequencies out from the cab and make sure they weren't being pushed from the exchange too!

Also wouldn't LLU just work the same as it does with Fibre now??
