o2 site down again

[link to this post]

Although o2 is great, its getting annoying now that i cant axcess most of the o2 sites.
tried my broadband my phone the o2 forums, its getting to be a joke now.
also intermittent problems with their email services.
If they dont sort someting out fast and get the problems sorted then a lot of o2 users may be looking elsewhere,me included.
Come on o2 sort out things very quick

I think you should reread my post.

Your demanding that O2 fix their website or you leave.

I said that was the oddest demand I have heard. They have a free phone number.

no you are not reading it correct.I said that o2 website is down more than working. Then the problem means we cant check our broadband bills, our mobile phone bills and allowances etc.yes i can still ring them for these details but i should be able to do it via their website as advertised and agreed. They know a problem exists but dont seem in a hurry to sort it out.Tried today and yet again their email service is again not working. As these are all in the package i am saying they have a right to sort them out so we can use them as we pay for them in the package.
Otherwise all is good speeds etc

Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think O2 HAVE to give access to their web page.

They supply a service and that is access to the internet via their servers - nothing more.

It's a cheap service at that!

There is no access to many areas of their web site again tonight.

Bizarre.

You cannot be serious by suggesting that a communications company should not have their web site up and running for their customers to access?

They should shine by example.

They have been messing with their web site for months and it's overdue that they get it right, say, via beta testers before unleashing changes to the public.

But don't they - and many other IT type companies - assume that the public ARE the beta testers?

I'm just assumming that the T&C's (Haven't read them fully) give details as to what they supply for the cost. Access to their web site is probably not on there. O2/Be supply internet access and shouldn't be relied on to supply anything else. If redundancy and SLA is expected then a higher cost would be payable.

What people expect and what they get is subjective.

I suppose it is a matter of perception. If I were to try to sign up with an ISP and the website was often down or unavailable, I would have no confidence in the proficiency of that ISP, and would go elsewhere.
