O2 firmware update

[link to this post]

Anyone had this update this week? Promised Monday by email but nothing so far. Currently 7.4.20.4 - I understand this will move to 8.xx. and I'm hoping it will cure a re-sync-ing issue, hence the chase.

Is there any way to force this ?

No, not until O2 release a download version. When they do, I will alter this page: http://www.o2help.co.uk/router-upgrade-firmware/

7.4.20.4 has proved to be a good version for many people. I certainly use it without issue.

Still using 7.4.20.3 without any problems at all. What advantage is to be gained using the later version?

O2 don't release changelogs for their firmware releases. There may be some place on the internet where Thomson detail their firmware changelogs, but I haved scoured. All I can say is that 7.4.20.4 is good for me.

My box came with 7.4.20.5 - has this version not been made publicly available?

Nope, they never made that one downloadable.

I have .5.

Is it worth downgrading to .4?

If so, where from?
