I am on the Premium legacy package, and have been with O2 for over two years. A year or so ago, I renewed with whatever the going retentions deal was (6mths free I think), and now have the decision to stay (and negotiate the same deal again), or go. I've never had a single problem, enjoying trouble free uncapped product ever since I joined, and relatively cheap through cashback/retention deals.
I can't get cable, I don't want fibre, I just want the same type of reliable package I currently have. Preferably uncapped so I don't have to think about it. For me, the only comparable package is Sky. I don't want Sky TV but have no problem switching my phone (currently with BT).
As Sky are currently also offering 6 months free, it should cost 6x£10 = £60 for broadband, plus 12x£12.25 = £147 for phone, so TOTAL £207 for the first year. There is also potential cashback available of £50 through Quidco/TCB.
If I stay with O2 and BT, I'll be paying 6x£13=£78 + 12*£14.60=£175.20, so TOTAL £253.20 for first year.
Am I missing anything, before I make the call to Sky?
