Hi all,

Can anyone get speedtester.bt.com to work with their FTTP? Do i have to open certain ports?

Cheers in advance

I would not expect it to work with FTTP/H because there is no IP profile as it is a fixed speed connection, and thus probably not in the database.

oh there is a FTTP option now wink

but it doesnt work... i get TERRIBLE speeds start of the day.

1mbp so around 100kb/sec at the start of the day until just after 1pm

then afternoon it shoots to 30mbp ish

then about 50-60+mbp in the evening at peak times... So weird.

Win 7 64bit,

i dont wanna bad mouth the ISP, because they've been real good to me. But they cant really check the fault until I either

a.) connect directly to the FTTP without their router (having trouble doing this due to win7 issues)

b.) speedtester.bt works for me

atm both are no go.

saying who they are isn't "bad mouthing" them, it's basic information.

So you can't get PPPoE to work on Win7 with their ONT unit ?

try turning off all the IPv6 stuff on the interface for a start. You get an error or ?
