Xilo Web Space

[link to this post]

I am on Xilo's C&W LLU offering and was wondering how I could make use of the 250Mb of web space included in the package.

Is there a walk through available for this service? do I have to contact Xilo's CS to have this enabled?

Cheers

Log into your Xilo account https://my.xilo.net/clientarea.php

Then click 'your broadband' (in the right hand menu), then click hosting under 'new features' (bottom left of page) and follow the instructions.

Bless you.

I take it that once you have chosen a sub-domain name ie yourname.unospace.net, it can thereafter not be changed. Is that correct please?

Cheers

Do people still use webspace? I did not think any ISp offered them any more, as most people now use social network.

When I need to transfer lumpy files >20mb, it not possible to send an email. Apart from this aspect, there many other uses for webspace.

What has webspace got to do with social networking? Can you host a website on social networks?

Are you reading "webmail" perhaps?

Edit - typo.

Bob's broadband basic info/help site:

ISP history: Demon dialup >> Freeserve dialup >> BT Broadband >> Prodigynet >> Newnet >> O2 Standard.
Domains, web and mail hosting history: Purple Cloud >> Tsohost.

People used to use Webspaces to let people other people know who they are, how many of us had personal websites years ago? I doubt many businesses would use free webspace from a ISP. Getting domains and webspace from other suppliers are pretty cheap and offer more than free webspace these day.

with social networking, most people will use one of those to say hello ,I am here.
