I'm OK on C&W - a normal 30ms. A murphx problem perhaps?

Drop us a ticket and we'll have a quick look for you - we can change the gateway for you, but as the latency does not continue down the route, it not likely affecting you.

Ignore the speedtest latency - it is not standard ICMP latency, so will generally be higher.

tbh I only noticed a problem when trying to watch the bosnia herzegovina via the Eurovision website. Its been working fine for all the other national finals.

d.l speed is 100% fine its just the stream seems to be stuttering and the ping in wow is way up above its normal level .(thanks for the reply so quicky) will just see how it pans out over the next 24 hrs see if it sorts itself out.

The traceroutes that you've posted look pretty good to me.

The one hop that you've highlighted in bold is an intermediate hop, and in general, routers give lesser priority to responding to ICMP packets than they do those of standard data packets passing though it when they are busy (could be learning new routes, or the CPU might just be doing something else) - I can quite easily replicate it buy just flapping a bgp session with a peer, for example.

If there was really a problem (eg capacity passing through that router), then all the hops after that router would be seeing high ping times too.

So, in general, I wouldn't worry about high pings on intermediate hops; after all your round trip time to BBC is still just 43/44ms.
