Vivaciti LLU Slow Downs??

[link to this post]

Has anybody noticed a slow down with Vivaciti services in the last week or so?

I'm on there surf wise LLU system and all was going well until i noticed certain things downloading very slow like anything from iTunes i'm lucky to get 100KB/s and torrents are around the same this seems to be anytime of the day or night with the odd occasion of getting full speed for 5 mins then back to 100KB/s ish speeds.
I must add web browsing is fine and seems fairly swift but IPlayer is choppy even on standard def programs most of the time.

My Stats if it helps are:
Down Up
6103 1023
Snr
6.1DB 9.8DB
Attenuation
44DB 28DB

Re IPlayer what results do you get from the test below?

If there is a big difference between the download and streaming speeds it may point to traffic management although there should not be any on IPlayer.

I'm experiencing what looks like throttling too.

iPlayer test results are 8Mb on everything but streaming 2 which is at 1Mb. If I start downloading from usenet it'll cap at 100-120KB/s and the streaming 2 test result will drop to almost nothing so there's definitely something going on with non-standard ports - I've tested this a few times now and it's been consistent.

It also shows in the TB speed test, this is with nothing else running and the different between port 80 and port 8095:

I hope it gets sorted soon, I really can't be bothered with looking for another ISP when up to now they've been fine.

i have just done the iplayer test showing choppy results
DOWNLOAD SPEED 5060
Test 1 4683
Test 2 3500
Test 3 3800

I have spoken to Vivaciti Support and they have told me there are issues with the network QOS, the worst program affected i have found is iTunes where speeds are around 50 - 70KB/s

EDIT:
i see what you mean by the difference in ports,
PORT 80

I was having problems with iPlayer downloads during the day a couple of weeks ago, far better speeds during the evening peak times !

But seems to be back to normal now, although not quite as solid maxing out as it used to be.
Problem is deciding whether it is an issue with the BBC servers or the network.

We have received a number of tickets over the weekend so this may point to a network issue that is in hand with the engineers at the moment.
