Uno/Xilo - DNS and websites down

[link to this post]

Is anyone else having issues today with Uno/Xilo?

Their DNS servers are completely down, meaning many broadband customers cannot access websites until the servers are changed to an alternative (eg. 8.8.8.8). The broadband connection then works fine.

All Uno/Xilo related websites (except for status.uno.net.uk which shows All Systems Operational!) are also down, including the Uno control panel and support pages and all hosted websites.

I would ordinarily submit a support ticket to Uno regarding this - however with the ticket system down I'm left posting on a forum!

We’re investigating an issue at our main datacenter which appears to be power related. Updates as we have them.

I imagine this is the cause.

It is.

Core DC we have kit in has had a complete power failure. We use A and B feeds to seperate power networks and both seem to have gone pop at the same time.

Most equipment is back on up on the A feed, they are awaiting SSE and a maintenance chap for the second B feed.

Not a good morning - apologies to anyone affected.

A few core services are down but DNS is working normally after being rerouted.

Never have both lines on the same ISP. Unless bonding. Preferably also separate the backhauls from the exchange.

I wouldn't put websites and email with any ISP either.

Wondered why my Xilo email was down. Fingers crossed it comes back soon.
