Dear All,

Recently, we received notification that during the process of emailing customers about the announcements posted yesterday, whilst uploading the information to the email tool that we use, an error occurred and we sent the contact information of 20,000 people to approximately 3,500 customers.

Whilst this email did not contain any banking or password information, this does include contact information (name, email address) along with product information.

If you did receive this email, please accept our apologies and we would request that you delete the email.

We will be contacting all of the people affected by this error by email.

A very serious breach by PN. I wonder how many will complain to PN and swamp their CS telephone support and ticket systems. This company just goes from bad to worse.

Hi

I can confirm I have also recieved an e-mail with all user names and postmaster e-mail addresses from Force9 and all other details .

I have a dialup account on all 3 Visp's

The information given is ,

"service_id","username","full_name","product_name","subscription_charge",
"postmaster_email","alt_email","visp","optout_status","active_status","real_name"

Total lines in e-mail 20008

I will contact Plusnet now about this,

Seriously though, what punishment is PN likely to face for this breach? It seems another case of their quality control failing majestically.

I wonder if that's the 20,000 people whos data has been compromised, or the approx 3,500 that received the list?
