Connection went live 26 May 2011. Sync Speed 8128 throughput 7150. Line attenuation 20.5 SN Margin 27.0/14.5. Router rebooted on one occasion on advice from PN. The connection is solid enough, but speeds are rather up and down.

BT Speedtests Interleaved ON
4215, 6177, 4392, 1131, 3996, 4391, 3471, 3558, 6089, 5864, 4619, 4163.

Fast Path Enabled

5774, 3453, 2255, 2012, 5542, 3507, 5550, 6347, 1890, 6025.

All the tests are done on a business package between 1900hrs and 2100hrs on a week day. Prior to signing up to ADSL we were using a mobile dongle which was giving speeds of around 4mbps.

Only one telephone socket in the building, NTE5 and the face plate has been removed and the router connected directly into the test socket.

Checked the exchange for VP congestion? http://usertools.plus.net/exchanges/

Not 100% reliable, but worth a look.

We can drop Wholesale an email if you like to get a more up to date view as to whether or not the virtual paths at your exchange are congested.

You'd need to post a ticket reference from your account or PM me the username to the account in question though.

I don't really think it looks like VP congestion. My suggestion was more a case of trying to eliminate it from the possibilities.

In reply to a post by wingco1:
Thanks Bob.

Response from Wholesale:

The VP for this circuit has been checked and has been found to have breached a trigger threshold instigating congestion relief. A regrade is scheduled, however, there are delays published preventing this work. We should have further information as and when the information becomes available.

Thanks for that. Fortunately we are not an internet intensive firm, so it won't impact the business too much.
