Plusnet Spam Filter

[link to this post]

The PN spam filter is so good that I simply take it for granted. All of a sudden I get a phishing email from Bulgaria asking for account details of a shop (Littlewoods) I have never used.

The spam gurus as PN might like to add this one to the list:

Hmm, not so good IMHO.

I have repeatedly put spam from 'T-mit' cheap ferry pushers in to the spam folder,
but it keeps on coming....

Hi there,

Manually moving an email in the spam folder doesn't invoke any sort of training. It never has done. The only way to reliably report spam since we started using Cloudmark appliances, is to us the spam button on the new Webmail platform.

I meant webmail, but obviously the old 'squirrel mail'.
It has one advantage, a tick box, so you can 'spambox' or delete emails without opening them !

The new 'advanced' is but fussy and the text is quite small, even when zoomed.

You can spam emails in the new Webmail without opening them. You just need to disable the preview pane. Spamming emails in the old Webmail interface does *not* submit the message for analysis any more now we've moved to Cloudmark.
