FTTC what does what

[link to this post]

There is a possibility that FTTC will be in our neighbourhood shortly (crossed fingers etc)

I understand that Openreach will supply a modem and the the output from the modem will go into the Router via the EWAN port on my Billion 7800n Moden Router.

Which of the boxes contain the login information that enables the connection to PLusNet to take place (ie userid and password)

If it is the Openreach box - who enters the data.

Thanks for any information

The router. Though it is possible to run without a router and supply the login info in the PC.

It's worth taking the free Plusnet router as well, as it only costs you the postage, and means you have a spare.

With the PN router, (maybe even without it), they supply four pages of info, including the login details you need for any router.

My domains, website and mail hosting - Tsohost. Internet connection - Plusnet Value Fibre.
