Perhaps?

What does it affect?
Access to the Community Site and other Sheffield-hosted services. This includes, but is not limited to, our internal systems, customer email collection, customer hosted websites, access to Webmail and access to our main website.

How long will it take?
Up to two hours.

What does the work involve?
We're moving parts of our Community Site and email platform to a new data centre. We'll also be switching the 'load balancer' we're using to manage access to the services we host in Sheffield.

Am I likely to notice the work?
Possibly, the Community Site may be slow to access whilst parts if the platform are out of service. When we switch to the secondary load balancer there may be a blip in connectivity to some of the services we host in Sheffield.

Is there anything else I need to know?
The load balancer maintenance is part of the ongoing work to resolve some of the recent problems that have affected our email service.

Kind Regards,

Bob Pullen
Customer Support.

9.25am....10am it all happens. Lots of notice.

That post is for work happening tomorrow: http://usertools.plus.net/status/archive/1352193881.htm

What issues are you having on your connection or is it just the poor response times when pinging the DNS servers?

Scratch that, just seen your quality graph. That looks more like a line fault, have you tried a disconnect/reconnect?

The above post has been made by an ISP REPRESENTATIVE (although not necessarily the ISP being discussed in the post).

The only other thing I spotted was:

http://status.aaisp.net.uk/apost.cgi?incident=1628

The timing is about right, but I'm not in the Falkirk area (40 miles away by road). Not sure what RAS (Remote Access Server?) is, but it doesn't sound likely.
