Plusnet Static IP

[link to this post]

My FTTC service is to migrate to Plusnet later this week.

I'd like a Static IP address, I've selected the option from the 'Add On' menu in the customer portal, but it just returns an error message.

Can I assume, that once the service is active, I then should be able to order it ?

How long does it take to apply once ordered, or is it simply a case that the dynamic IP address you have at the time, gets 'frozen' ?

Assuming you are on the unlimited package and you have a card registered on the account (they can't take it via direct debit) then yes after the account is activated.
However you may be able to do it in advance by phoning in - I don't know but it is worth a try
I think you will get a new IP address from the fixed IP address pool
Edited to correct error

Thanks chaps, I'll wait until I receive the activation conformation e-mail from Plusnet during the day, then apply via the portal, then by the time I get home that evening, I'll change the router logon to PN, and all should be well !
