MAC required for BT Infinity to Plusnet?

[link to this post]

Would I need to obtain a MAC from BT to facilitate a move to Plusnet? I've tended to move from/to LLU before now (Sky) so haven't actually had to concern myself with this previously. The Plusnet web site indicates I will, but as they are part and parcel of BT, I wasn't sure.

Yes you will

Virgin (ADSL) => Namesco => Newnet => O2 => Plusnet => Zen => Newnet => Zen => Freeola => Vivaciti (using O2 Wholesale DSL) => Xilo (C&W Wholesale) => Xilo (O2 Wholesale)
Note: I don't lay turf for anyone. astro or otherwise, all views and opinions expressed are my own based on experience.

There's your answer then...

They're not - They're owned by BT but run seperately. No different to when Ford owned Jaguar and Land Rover.
