Brief (48 hours?) half price deal for 18 months...

[link to this post]

... on broadband + phone line as an online exclusive.

I've no idea whether the URL includes any affiliate information, so not posting here in case, but I did put a thread about half price Plus.Net on HotUKdeals so it should be easy to find. 18 months at 4.99 for 'unlimited broadband' is fairly cheap smile

Have to admit when I saw some advert link on Google (blocked on most of my desktops and laptops) I thought it was a completely duff entry (given problem over "broadband only" and confusion over not mentioning line rental requirement, in recent news item /threads).

There is no half-price line rental @ PN; only on the BB element.

Unlimited ADSL has been on offer for £4.99 pm for ages.

1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up => 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB => 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB => 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU => 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU => 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC - BQM

In reply to a post by XRaySpeX:

But usually half price for 12 months on an 18 month contract, not half price for 18 months on an 18 month contract.

Oliver.

OK, I could have worded it better, to indicate the half price only applied to the broadband. On HotUKdeals I made it much clearer that the deals were half price broadband (+ line rental).

I'll hold my hand up to not taking enough care, happy with that?

As for the fact the broadband discounts are for 18 months, it's not often been that way, and thanks Oliver for noticing the difference.

TBH I hadn't known that 18 months contract applied on the 12 month half price deal.

However, it does make sense, as it is highly likely someone will also renew their 'annual phone line rental' to get that at the slightly lower price, so effectively this is likely to mean a new set of customers who will probably stay for 24 months...
