Please cancel Question #74710363 - I don't need an engineer after all tomorrow.

I tried to phone Plusnet but gave up after waiting 22 minutes. I have also left a message against this ticket to cancel it but there's been no response.

Hi Deano,

Seems unlikely you're NOT genuine, but if you're Plusnet staff, are you arranging to get an ISP tag, so others can see clearly you're not an impostor?

This posting was at my specific request as a moderator on the Plusnet Forums to catch a very urgent action
It just so happens that he was the first member of staff on the Plusnet forums to pick it up
You will notice that he didn't ask for any private information but just fixed the problem and posted it on the open ticket on the account.
As such asking for an ISP tag is rather redundant given that he is most unlikely to post on here again

No, I appreciate no personal information was sought, and I did stress it was unlikely the poster was an impostor.

But you can envisage a situation where some troll pretending to be PN says: "No problem, that's all done and dusted for you!" - laughing their socks off at the idea the poster will still receive (and be charged for) the engineer's visit . I thought it wise to check.

Considering you tried to cancel it at 6pm yesterday, I'm not surprised he turned up. Before the engineers finish work, they usually pick up the job requests paperwork for the next day.

Then on the first day, they head straight to sites without visiting the office to check for any new paperwork.
