I'd expect about double the downstream, and the upstream 444 or 448.

Is it a new build house, with builder-fitted phone wiring and extensions?

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk | Domains,website and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - Plusnet UnLim Fibre (FTTC). Sync ~ 55.8/14.5Mbps @ 600m. - BQM

It is indeed, it was only .5mbit higher in the master test socket though.
I do have a filtered faceplate somewhere so ill try find that and put that in.

Is it likely to be my end or PN?

Best to wait and see if things change when they say the order is completed, but I doubt it.

When you tried the test socket, did all extensions stop working?

439 Kbps with lots of spare noise margin is a little odd, so this might be some old LLU connection, particularly if its connected but no Internet access.

Or has the PlusNet upstream cap got a 439 Kbps in some areas (memory tells me that its usually 448 Kbps)

Did OP say he had no Net access?

With some LLU, TalkTalk is a good one - it works even without a username or password entered and works if the wrong info is entered. So it could very well be a TT connection that's currently in use until the takeover, so I agree with your point here.
