Seeking new ISP

[link to this post]

I am thinking of moving over to plusnet from O2, but have some questions.
As I have no intention of staying with Sky, I requested my MAC which was issued 5 days later. I have been so busy with other things so only now had the time to start shopping around. This MAC expires on 6/1/14.

How do I proceed with moving both home phone and BB over with little or no downtime?

Should I wait for this MAC to expire and request another one?

Many thanks and happy new year.

Whether you use it or wait until it expires then get a new one is up to you. The expiry date is the date by which it must be submitted to Openreach by your new ISP, which is normally the same day as you order.

It doesn't matter (in MAC terms) if the migration doesn't happen for a couple of weeks or more after that.

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk | Domains,site and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - Plusnet UnLim Fibre (FTTC). Sync ~ 59.4/14.4Mbps @ 600m. - BQM
