thinking of switching to plusnet fibre.

Hi,
I'm currently on PN unlimited broadband and thinking about switching to fibre. I have rung up PN CS and the guy offered their current deal of £12.50 for 9 months on 18 month contract or £14.99 for 24 months on 24 month contract.
Any opinions whether the options are any good.

As those are decent speed upgrades, I would think it's worthwhile. If the speed had only been small, as many are, then for most people it wouldn't be worth the extra cost over ADSL2+.

That's assuming you aren't just doing browsing and email.

What real life speed do you get on ADSL2+?

Are you currently under contract to Plusnet or on a rolling month contract?

Are you happy to sign up for 2 years?

Is there a better deal elsewhere?

Are you happy with Plusnet?

How much are you paying now and is the extra worth it?

How do you use the internet? Gaming, TV streaming, multiple users in the same house? All good reasons to have higher speeds. But higher speeds may not seem that good if you just do light web browsing as you may not notice an improvement in speed.

Currently have 6Mbps down and 1 Mbps up.

Definitely do more than just browse and email. I do some heavy downloads from time to time, primarily doing lot streaming via roku, the tv itself and on xbox and all other mod cons etc. My current connection just about suffices.

I have looked around at other offers at the moment, as it stands PN workout as one of the cheaper (taking into account PN no frills landline).
