SNR adjustment question

[link to this post]

Hi all, I am considering jumping ship from the wreck that was ADSL24 (now Coms) and joining PN. My last two ISPs have adjusted my SNR to 6 (from 12) to give me a better speed - I live rurally.

Would I be able to get this done thru PN?

many thanks

Woody

The standard value on Plusnet is 6dB. On a very clean line the system (on a 21CN exchange) can reduce it automatically to 3dB.

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk | Domains,site and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - Plusnet UnLim Fibre (FTTC). Sync ~ 59.4/14.4Mbps @ 600m. - BQM

Correct PN will do SNR at 3dB if requested. Depend on the line quality.

Hi ukwoody,

Your line has a DLM(Dynamic Line Management) that monitors and set's the SNR target to what it deems to be the best for your line to be stable and sync as high as it can.

We can however set a manually SNR target for you if you wish.

Kind Regards,
