Unlimited fibre being traffic shapped again :(

So much for no shaping on their products, "all protocols at line speed".

pcl-bng01. - 4.1MB/s usenet - 7.7MB/s Thinkbroadband.com test file

ptw-bng01. - 3.2MB/s usenet - 7.8MB/s Thinkbroadband.com test file

ptw-bng02. - 3.9MB/s usenet - 7.7MB/s Thinkbroadband.com test file

pcl-bng01. - 3.3MB/s usenet - 7.8MB/s Thinkbroadband.com test file

ptw-bng01. - 2.4MB/s usenet - 7.8MB/s Thinkbroadband,com test file

Knew returning would be a stupid experience in terms of traffic shaping even when they claim that the traffic wouldn't be affected.

You are jumping to conclusions about why there is a difference. Just because a 2CV can get from Manchester to London faster on a Sunday night than a Jaguar can on a Friday afternoon doesn't mean the 2CV is faster.

The Glasnost test is probably the most reliable check for throttling. http://broadband.mpi-sws.org/transparency/bttest.php

Recently moved from BT Infinity 2 to PlusNet. Very happy so far.

I use the same gateways and my usenet always runs @ linespeed, regardless of the time or day of the week.

Plusnet - Unlimited Fibre - No trees were harmed in writing this post. Several electrons were, however, mildly inconvenienced.
