Dramatic loss of upload speed

[link to this post]

Hi All

I have been on the Plusnet 80/20 profile for over a year and getting about 64/18 until the end of October e.g.

http://www.thinkbroadband.com/speedtest/button/14461...

but ever since then my upload speed has dropped to 4 Mbps

http://www.thinkbroadband.com/speedtest/button/14470...

Is the Plusnet trying to get rid of this profile by stealth?

I've no idea what you mean by that as you are clearly still on 80/20. My upload has not suffered at all, if those results are consistent, I suggest you report a fault.

Wired or wireless to your router? Have you checked what wireless channels are in use around you?

After all these years it still never occurs to me that anyone would post a speed test result using wireless (unless they were specifically talking about a wireless issue), so hopefully this is not the case (or hopefully it is, depending on your point of view!)

Tell Sharon White.

Linky. (Best to read the linked article to fully understand what I'm saying).

What modem and/or router are you using?
Several Fritz!Box users are reporting unexplained upstream speed loss (sync) since end of October

thats sort of reassuring (its not just me) thanks. I will try reconnecting the openreach modem and see if that changes the price of fish.
