Ping / latency jumped to >30ms

[link to this post]

My latency has jumped to over 30ms whereas 3 months ago it was only 6ms.

Any suggestions what's going on?

Is that consistent and repeatable (in both cases)? I do get latency figures all over the place myself and they differ between testers, speedtest.net generally being one of the lowest, but for a while speedtest.net was reporting 1ms for me, which is clearly impossible. For info, here is my current speedtest.net result - 9ms agrees with what my samknows box is telling me at the moment.

Probably interleaving has turned on.

You need to posts a full set of router stats so people can see what's going on.

I use two of the speedtesters on here regularly and the one here nearly always returns a latency result approximately twice that of this one. I don't understand why and have stopped worrying about it 8^)

I have ~20 results sine May 2013, usually ping has been single digits 7-9ms, once it was 0ms obviously something up. Today it was 28ms link, so it does seem to have jumped up.

I was looking because response time and general internet use seems sluggish, yet speed is still 72/19 mbs, so I don't think it's that.

Sky Go is freezing/buffering and xbox live drops connection from time-to-time.

I have the standard PN TG582n and I'm not sure how to extract the router stats for this?

Don't use speedtest.net for ping.

Use the proper ping utility in your OS against a well known target, i.e., this site would do the trick.
