As long as you make the move within 30 days of you officially being informed then yes - that is assuming you don't have a package where some parts are covered by cancellation and others aren't (for example if you have line rental saver then you could lose any outstanding months on that).

To be precise, telling them within 30 days of being personally notified that he/she intends to migrate away because of the rise. Then placing an order very soon after, preferably doing both a couple of working days before the end of the 30 days.

OK, minor wording change - as long as the move is initiated before the 30 days is up.

Agreed that it's minor in most cases smile. But plenty of people take 15-21 day holidays, and reading emails may well be the last thing on the priority list on return. Which would make having left by the end of 30 (calendar) days impossible.

Even a fortnight's holiday would probably prevent it.

My main reason was the post earlier where someone had assumed telling the ISP was enough to hold it open indefinitely. I agree my phrasing was a little lax but better to err on the side of caution so people don't get a nasty surprise.

I was thinking of exactly that thread as well in my reply smile. The need for precision is high. I didn't even get it dead right in my first reply either.

I wasn't getting at you, or at least there was no such intention if that's how it looked.
