Just say you ARE using an approved modem, they haven't got a clue how to check it even if they are able to!.

I *could* do that...

From September 2001 on BTopenworld Home 500/Home 1000/Home 2000. Then ADSLMax on <n>ildram. Moved to ADSL2+ from ADSL24. I'm now with plusnet on FTTC since 28/05/2014 and loving it... I'm not saying who I work for. Any opinions expressed here are my own.

I've just renewed my PN package with exactly the same as I had.

All in - Ive managed to get it for under £40.

Thats an 18 month contract, with:-

80/20 Fttc broadband
Anytime calls
Line Rental
Caller dispay

After looking around, I was tempted with BT's intermediate speed of 55Mbps and their "January Sale" products. But after speaking to PlusNet a couple of times, their pricing fitted the bill.
