NEW FUP

[link to this post]

New FUP on website http://www.postoffice.co.uk/sites/default/files/Fair...

main changes are package name changes (standard >>essentials and extra>>premium) and the 100 GB monthly limit is now restricted in the month you go over the 100GB not a couple of warnings first; also peer to peer restrictions are coming into effect.

I cant see how they can implement this FUP without a usage meter or similar on the portal

It's not really unlimited if it's actually 100Gb.

Virtually any student house of 5+ people, family of 6, or small family who stream a lot of HD netflix etc will exceed this.
I imagine a lot of people are exceeding the 100Gb cap.

Virtually all ISPs are offering truly unlimited nowadays. BT, Sky, Talktalk. All offering it.

Post office was one of the few broadband providers I could get for a reasonable cost at my exchange as it's Market 1 on a 12 month contract. Very disappointing. Time to start looking for a new provider!

Special offer at the moment, it wasn't when I signed up last year. Other issue for me is the 18 month contract when I only want 12. Even with their current deal it's £31.45 with Line rental. £5 more than I paid with the PO.

When I move out in a month I'll be moving back to an area with Virgin so think I'll switch back.

That PDF says we can check usage in Self Care. Does anyone know where?
