Have placed these in sticky post to ensure people can find them easily. The questions were asked after people posting on the forums kept seeking clarification beyond the leaflets and letters currently sent out.
1. Will voice only customers remain on a WLR Product?
Yes all voice only customers will remain on WLR. This means any broadband from other providers where you just have Post Office voice line rental will be unaffected.
2. Will those with Home Phone+Broadband be given an option to remain on current WLR+SMPF platform, or will they move to a fully unbundled platform
If in an area which the full LLU service is available then customer will be moved to the on-net LLU platform, unless they have Red Care (rare alarm system).
If an area where the full LLU platform is not available they will remain on WLR+SMPF (i.e. via BT Wholesale exchange kit).
3. Will broadband only customers remain on a SMPF product, i.e. zero impact on the voice rental service they have with a third party.
Yes, where customers have broadband only, there voice services will not be impacted. In other word the broadband will be provided via a shared LLU service where available or BT Wholesale where not.
