Price Rises

[link to this post]

Just a heads up for anyone with Post Office Homephone and Broadband.

I got a letter through from the Post Office today and as of 9 November line rental will be going up from £15 to £16. I also have the evening and weekend calls add on and that too will be going up from £1.50 to £2.50.

Broadband prices will be staying the same for now, which is a relief.

A few more Homephone related things seeing a price rise include the following:-

Call connection charge up from £15p to 15.5p
Local/National day rate up from 9.5p per minute to 10p per minute
UK Mobile Call rate up from 10p per minute to 12p per minute
Anytime calls up from £5.75 per month to £7 per month
Line Rental Saver up from £144 (the equivalent of £12 per month) to £168 (the equivalent of £14 per month) from 1st February 2016.

Looks like PO is following in the tracks of subsidising Broadband costs...

If not then they are taking advantage of the market and doing this purely for profit!

Plusnet put up their line rental and call costs in early September and I think BT increases are due in December.

Of course, but there's profit and then theres greed...

I don't see why Post Office found it necessary to all of a sudden decide that the line rental needs to be increased by £3 (23.076%) within a matter of 10 months, specially for those who take a contract and Broadband meaning a potential saving for them to due to them using Full MPF for the Broadband & Phone customers.

September is normally when BT change (i.e. raise) their prices.
